My Ordination with Universal Life Church
In 1978, I wrote the ULC a letter, asking about their ordination. They responded by sending me their certificate of ordination. I was ordained by the Universal Life Church, on August 28, 1978. This was my first ordination; a seed event in my life. It was something I had to grow into. My ordination was by snail mail; the only kind that existed at that time.
The Universal Life Church will ordain anyone, for life, for free; without regard to belief or training. The ULC is about religious freedom.

ULC "Degrees"
The ULC sells honorary Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) degrees. All honorary degrees are meaningless. This one certainly is. I purchased mine on February 20, 1996.
In honor of my 55th birthday, I purchased the Doctor of Metaphysics (Ms.D.) course. This consisted of a badly written book and a diploma. There was no exam. Do NOT put this degree into your resume. It is NOT a credential.

The Universal Life Church was founded by Kirby Hensley in 1959 in Modesto, California. This was long before there was a functioning internet, or even the idea of an internet. The ULC is not an internet church. The ULC is a Modesto, California church that uses the internet. The congregation at Modesto continues to hold Sunday Morning services.
